Three steps for staying positive in this current crisis

Three steps for staying positive in this current crisis

We have so much to be thankful for and we should be counting our blessings every day that we live in a wonderful country like Australia.

What I am finding is that there are people who look for the downside in this situation.

They use it as an excuse.

If we do this, we will not be ready for the great opportunities that will be there when the restrictions are lifted.

The people who don’t take advantage of this opportunity will be left behind.

I was told yesterday that there are people on JobKeeper that don’t want to go to work. This amazes me as they should be so grateful that they have a job.

That’s the exciting part about our career in real estate, we can be busy, even during these times by doing the following three things I am about to share.

A local business, which has been shut down due to COVID-19 has told me that they have had a better month this April than April 2019.

What’s the difference? They have focused on what they “can do” and not what they “can’t do” and this philosophy also applies to real estate.

Yesterday I visited a small business who has been doing it tough and they are now manufacturing hand sanitiser and are starting to thrive.

Three steps for staying positive in this current crisis

1. SPEAK WITH MORE PEOPLE

I believe you should be speaking with at least 40 people per day.

Call your warm sources first.

2. SOCIAL MEDIA

Use social media to show how you are ADAPTING.

Offer something special so people will think of you and call you if they need any help regarding real estate.

3. BE POSITIVE

Maintain a positive “can do” attitude.

As Henry Ford said “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t – you’re right.

So be positive and get to work.

Look for the opportunities that are there for you. This is what my coaching client Dominic is doing right now and he is loving it.

His figures are good but what he is so excited about is that a lot of his competitors have closed their doors.

He is set to have a great time when things get back to normal, while still doing well now.

If Dominic can do it, so can you.

It’s in times of adversity that you can really shine and now is that time for you.
