Growing or shrinking: three strategies to help you make more sales

We all want to make more sales in real estate sales. When I was selling I was always looking for the edge that would help me to make more sales, month in, month out.

Today I share with you why it’s important to continually improve.

There are three things you can implement immediately to make sure you are always green and growing, which will help you make more sales.

If you get this wrong you will always have the same results even though your goals may be different.

make more sales Michael KiesIf you are not growing and improving, new goals are just lip service and nothing will change for the better.

You are either growing or shrinking.

But if you decide to improve every day, you will be at the top of your field within two years and making many more sales.

In my personal experience I took the advice I was given (to study for an hour per day) in the hope that I would be at the top of my field within two years.

I can tell you now, that advice was wrong.

By studying for one hour per day (plus applying what I had learned with massive action) I was at the top of my field in less than 18 months.

Later on I bought my office and was the top salesperson in that franchise in SA & NT for five consecutive years and in the last year I was with that franchise I was their top salesperson internationally.

By the way, when I applied this advice I was at the very bottom out of two hundred salespeople and I was depressed.

The reason I tell you this is that if I can do this, you can do it as well.

I don’t know all the answers but I share with you what worked for me and I am sure it will work for you as well.

Emily’s Story

Emily is one of the finest people I know. She sat in the front row at my Success in Real Estate event a few months back.

She said she had a very different mindset at the beginning of the course, compared to when she walked out at the end of the course on day three.

1. Think bigger.

Most people underestimate what they are really capable of.

From now on increase your listings target by 2 per month, and then once you are consistent at that level increase it again.

When I first started I kept thinking if only I could sell four per month and when I did I increased the targets until finally my targets were consistently 12 listings and 10 sales.

I averaged 11 sales per month for 12 years.

2. Break the bad rules that are holding you back.

Decide from this day forward that you will do what I did and break the rules that are holding you back.

Study more. If you don’t read, listen to audio books. I suggest the next one you listen to is the Magic of Thinking Big.

Work more and make a decision to be a great Success in Real Estate. The process is simple, prospect more, list more, reduce more, sell more, and market more with testimonials and wanted ads.

3. Enthusiasm.

There are two internal voices, one is negative the other is positive.

Michael Kies make more salesFrom now on, if you want to make more sales, DO NOT listen to the negative voice and only tune into the positive voice.

When something goes wrong, as it will, don’t see it as failure only a learning experience and then make sure it never happens again.

If you want to improve quickly you need to fail faster.

Successful people fail a lot because they keep trying new things, they are tenacious and they find a way for things to work.

The average person says things like: “I tried that door knocking once and I spoke to 120 people and didn’t find anyone who was selling…” Then they give up and do nothing, waiting for the phone to ring.

The Success in Real Estate keeps getting up and trying until they find the right formula to make more sales and achieve great prosperity from this wonderful world of real estate.

  1. Think bigger
  2. Eliminate the bad self-limiting rules that are holding you back
  3. Realise failure is a learning experience and act enthusiastically – in a very short time you will be making more sales and become unstoppable.
The only question is will you do it?
