Today I explain the positive in that, and how you can thrive despite the low listing numbers.

Remember adversity is a great teacher. Say to yourself: “That’s good!

I share with you the keys to successful execution in real estate. In other words, how to get more listings when the listing numbers are down.

This is a great opportunity for you.

Get excited and follow the four P’s:

1. Planning.

What or who’s plan are you following right now?

If you are following a plan that says wait for call-ins, then I would suggest this plan is not going to work for you.

You should plan to get to a stage in your career where you become so busy with referrals that you don’t have time to prospect, but until then your plan is to prospect in every spare moment you have.

Try speaking to 500 people in a week about selling their house and you will get three listings.

2. Preparation.

You must be prepared so that when your opportunity arises you can take advantage of it.

Preparation is the key to success. Prepare for prospecting, listing, reducing and selling.

How are you preparing right now? What are you studying right now to improve in real estate?

Preparation is a daily thing, it’s not a once only thing.

3. Practice what you learn.

Practice, drill and rehearse what you learn and this will set you in good stead for an immediate rise in results.

4. Performance.

Does performance mean sitting back and waiting for the phone to ring? Definitely not!

Performance means getting into the game and creating listing opportunities – so from today on commit to creating a good listing appointment and attending a listing appointment every single day.

When you have a listing appointment every day you will list at least 2 properties per week and sell a minimum of 1 property per week. From now on this is your minimum expectation.

You are a success if you know you do your best every day and can hold your head high every night when you go home.

It’s like an AFL team. They plan, they prepare and they practice, so that on game day they can perform at their best.

The same applies to you every day in your real estate career.

It’s no good looking at the down side, always look for the opportunity which right now is to get more listings by focus and dedication.
