Rethinking your targets: what if they were your minimum expectation?

What if we rethink our targets in real estate? What if our targets were our minimum expectation? What if we could achieve greatness by re-adjusting our mindset and setting our expectations high?

rethink your targets Michael KiesThe problem most real estate agents have is that their targets are the maximum results that they expect to reach every month.

Then when they don’t reach their targets they let both themselves and their leader down, causing their self-esteem to plummet.
What’s worse, is that I have never seen a great Success in Real Estate with low self-esteem.

Today I share with you three things that will help you rethink your targets in real estate so that you can become a great Success in Real Estate.

The salespeople who get this right are making many sales because they apply the following three principles to their everyday lives.

Their self-esteem sky rockets and they are getting results while making more money than they ever thought possible.

If you are sick and tired of your current results and financial situation then my hope is that you will say to yourself “enough is enough!”.

It’s now your time to shine and become very prosperous in this wonderful world of real estate.

Three principles you can implement immediately to rethink your targets and raise your self-esteem:

1.  Rethink your targets: Make your maximum your minimum

Raise your expectations and be positive about it.

Just for now, believe you can make one sale per week.

If you are already making one sale per week, raise your target to 2 sales per week.

Keep raising your target until you reach your financial goal.

Having high expectations and constantly exceeding your now minimum (which used to be your maximum) will help you reach financial freedom within 10 years.

2. Stretch yourself

You are better than you think you are.

Often I see agents who feel comfortable but are not excelling financially; this is the dreaded comfort zone.

You ONLY get out of this by stretching yourself to complete more tasks – prospect more, list more, reduce more, and sell more properties.

Try and put up your target up by 50% and then commit to doing whatever it takes to reach that target.

3. Get to work

How do you feel when you have won a tough listing? Your self-esteem lifts dramatically when you achieve a result. When you sell that property, you feel even better.

The fastest and easiest way to raise your self-esteem is to get more results and you do that by getting to work. You make the most of every moment of every day. Do not waste time.

I first heard these words some thirty years ago and have lived by them ever since: “I must do the most productive thing at every given moment.”

Have you done the most productive thing at every given moment yesterday and today?

The most productive thing you can be doing is getting more listings. Get to work on this immediately.

The minimum amount that you are paid for is to reach your target and in real estate if you don’t reach or exceed your target you are giving yourself a pay cut.

Do you really want that? NO!

So from now on be determined to reach and exceed your targets which will raise your self-esteem and give you a great pay rise.

Obviously the tools within the sales process play a massive role in growing results.
