Three steps to becoming a world class prospector in real estate sales

Prospecting is like shaving; if you

When I first started out in real estate I never dreamed of the success I would have in my career. I attribute this success to small incremental, daily changes and routines, three of which I will share with you today.

Kickstart with study

For at least the next four weeks, study for one hour per day on improving one skill that you have identified as weak. For a lot of people becoming a world class prospector in real estate sales is thwarted by fear and doubt. Once you have identified this skill, practice drill and rehearse your newly learned and developed skill until it becomes part of you.

Three steps to becoming a world class prospector in real estate sales

  1. Commit to prospecting everyday

But you must prospect with enthusiasm and a positive mindset.

As Frank Bettger said: ‘Prospecting is like shaving if you don’t do it every day you will become a bum.’

  1. Prospect to find a result

Obviously the result you are looking for is a good listing appointment. The first thing you have to do is have total belief that you are going to find a person who wants to sell their house and then get rid of all the self limiting thoughts that you have about yourself or what someone else may have told you.

  1. Learn a world class script

Use the script (downloadable above) at the doors to find one good listing appointment today. Imagine that! Say 6 good listing appointments in a week – maybe 4 listings which might translate into maybe 2 sales a week in the short term until you build it up. How does that sound? – Great right! So get out there today and find that listing and you are well on your way to becoming a world class prospector in real estate sales.
